What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than sharing a beautiful meal. It’s right around the corner (May 14!) so if you haven’t considered how you’re going to celebrate mom this year (or how you want to be celebrated!), now’s the time. Here is a list of my favourite places to take Mom for a good meal this Mother’s Day in YGK (and surrounding areas):

Drake Devonshire: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love Drake Devonshire! It’s in Wellington, making for a day of bonding during the drive (the moments mom’s love most). It’s a stunning venue and the food is top-notch – perfect spot to treat Mom. Read why I love The Devonshire.

Bayview Farm in Collins Bay: It can be hard to get a reservation at this special spot in Kingston’s west end, however, if you can get in for a nice dinner – do it! Read why I love Bayview.

Dianne’s Fish Bar and Smokehouse: You can’t go wrong with Dianne’s. With the menu’s broad selection, she’s bound to find something she’ll love. Read why I love Dianne’s dinner.

Aquaterra: This high-end restaurant is well-sought after on any occasion! It’s sure to make her feel extra special if you treat her to a five-star meal. Learn more about Aquaterra.

Fort Henry’s World Heritage Site: Enjoy brunch for $15 per person! Their menu is broad from french toast to curry so there’s something for everyone, even your picky brother. Read more about their Mother’s Day Brunch.

Chien Noir: You can’t go wrong with a classic french meal, I’ve shared my thoughts on Chien Noir in the past and wouldn’t hesitate to bring my mom for dinner. Read more about why I love Chien Noir.

Riva: Just a little out of town in Gananoque, the space at Riva is fit for a Queen and the food is, too. The perfect place to bring your well-deserving mom. Read why I love Riva.

Days on Front: I haven’t written about this west-end gem yet, but their food is incredible and I would suggest making a trip even if it’s not Mother’s Day! Learn more about Days.
