‘Tis the season to hit the stores for all sorts of gifts – whether it be for kids, friends, colleagues or bosses – we’re all searching for the perfect present. Thoughtful but not trying and affordable but not cheap. What better way to celebrate Kingston’s wonderful local businesses than by allowing them help you finish your holiday shopping.
I’ve picked a few of my favourite places in town and listed them under categories for Christmas shopping inspiration.
This edition is for the friend who’s life motto is “treat yourself.” Treat them to a photo shoot, a trip to the spa, a hair appointment (who doesn’t love those scalp massages?) or a shiny new piece of locally-made jewelry.

This is a perfect gift for someone who needs a confidence boost or the girl you know with a lot of selfies on Instagram ;).
Annex Spa: Annex spa offers a variety of pampering from facials and massages to manicures and waxing. What better way to make someone feel special than a gift card or a specific package. Bonus: they use lots of local eco-friendly and natural products.
All Ways Clean: What princess wants to clean after a spa day? All Ways Clean is a local service that offers house cleaning as well as closet organizing, house staging and window washing! This is gift is also amazing for the busy mom.
Fossa Hair: This hair salon has some seriously talented stylists who are passionate about what they do. If you know someone who is ready to change their look or is perhaps already a customer of Fossa, this could be a thoughtful gift idea.
Sterling Jewellery: These locally-made jewels would be coveted by anyone
who appreciates a good accessory.
